Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall

What you’ll experience: You will walk behind the waterfall on the path leading up from the car park without getting wet. Following the riverbank, the path goes behind the waterfall and out to the vantage point on the other side. From here, you can admire Steinsdalsfossen, a beautiful view of Norheimsund and over the entire Steinsdalen valley.

Husedalen Valley

The Stone Park

What you’ll experience: The Stone Park is one of the attractions of the Folgefonna National Park Centre. Blocks of stone that have been sculpted and placed together in a unique way. There is a sculpture in the Stone Park by the artist Bård Breivik and an impressive Sami tent near the entrance to the park which can be used by visitors.

Norwegian Nature Centre – Hardanger

What you’ll experience: An activity and experience center. On three floors, there are exciting exhibitions on Norwegian nature, climate, and the environment. The exhibition is designed as a journey through time and follows the history of the earth’s origins from 2.9 billion years ago until today. Here you can explore engaging and educational interactive stations, rock types, minerals, fossils, models, aquariums, thematical videos, and illustrations. Voss Folkemuseum

Bondhusvatnet glacier lake near Sundal in Kvinnherad

What you’ll experience: The magnificent icefall and valley have drawn tourists since the mid-1800s. As you walk from the quay in Sundal, a hamlet on the shore of the Maurangerfjord, you are retracing a historic path. The Ice Road wasn’t built for tourists, but rather to transport ice, which was used for refrigeration in the towns and villages up and down the coast.

Floibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen

What you’ll experience: If you are in Bergen, Fløyen is an absolute must visit! A trip with the funicular Fløibanen is a great experience, with the two carriages that have transported people to the mountain for over 100 years. The tour starts in the heart of Bergen city centre and takes you to the top in approximately 6 minutes. There you will get a spectacular panoramic view over the city, fjord and mountains.

Bryggen

What you’ll experience: The very first buildings in Bergen were situated at Bryggen, which has been a vibrant and important area of the city for many centuries. Bryggen has been ravaged by many fires, the great fire of 1702 in particular. It reduced the whole of the city to ashes. The area was rebuilt on the foundations that had been there since the 12th century, which means that Bryggen is basically unchanged despite the passing centuries.
