What you’ll experience: A small museum, but well worth a visit. Learn about the history of chocolate throughout the ages and maybe even pick up some treats at the end in the gift shop.

La Boqueria Market (Las Ramblas)

What you’ll experience: A Barcelona institution, this historic, vibrant market off Las Ramblas is brimming with charm and atmosphere. With over 200 stalls, a great opportunity to learn about Spanish food and society.

Tapas Lesson

Subject Range: Cultural, Food Technology
What you’ll experience: Learn how to cook 6 different tapas at this city centre workshop. Afterwards, enjoy the end results with a dessert and a drink. Information: 1.5 hour duration.

Las Ramblas

Subject Range: MFL, Art & Design, Cultural
What you’ll experience: Las Ramblas is the central boulevard which cuts through the heart of the city centre and is primarily pedestrianised. It is approximately 1.2 kilometres long with Port Vell (near the cruise port terminal) at the Southern most end and Plaça Catalunya at the northern most end. You can also visit La Boqueria, a large food market housed in one of La Ramblas’ most interesting buildings.

Walking Tour

What you’ll experience: A walking tour of the old part of the city will allow you to get your bearings and get a feel for Barcelona with insights from a local guide. Information: 30 people per guide.

Ciutadella Park

What you’ll experience: Visit this tranquil oasis, east of the gothic quarter, which features a beautiful lake with Gaudi designed water feature ‘La Cascada’.
