What you’ll experience: The studios are located south of Munich in Grünwald/Geiselgasteig. A great excursion for students – the Bavaria Film Studios are where “Das Boot” was shot as well as many successful German films and TV series. There is a stunt show with special effect and students can see Falcor the dragon from The Neverending Story.

What you’ll experience: Neuschwanstein Castle is a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rocky hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner. The palace was a personal refuge for the reclusive king, and was opened to the public after his death in 1886.

The museum was established in 1973, shortly after the Summer Olympics. The museum shows BMW’s technical development throughout the company’s history and exhibits engines and turbines, aircraft, motorcycles, and more.
