How many trips to the Chateau have you done?

We’ve been to the Château six times.

What was the main objective for your groups trip?

A Y9 history and french study trip. To visit historical sites in Normandy and practice French speaking skills.

What were your groups favorite things about the Château?

The Château is, by far, the best school trip accommodation I have stayed in (with almost three decades of school trips to compare it to). The château and the grounds are simply stunning, and the pupils can relax and play games in a beautiful and safe environment.

The food is second to none, with waitress service, 3-course meals every night, and excellent packed lunch provision. The excursions in Normandy have been excellent, with particular highlights being the British Memorial in Ver-Sur-Mer for the historians and the goat farm for the linguists. There is a reason we return year after year to the Château du Baffy; it is an excellent and well-organised trip that is well loved by staff and pupils.

Why did you choose Select for your trip?

We have travelled with Select for many years. Select have been very accommodating in tailor-making our itinerary to suit a school with such a long journey from the northeast of England. We leave at midnight to ensure we don’t waste any time travelling and have an en-route stop at Honfleur to practice our French.

What was your experience of working with Select for this trip?

Excellent organisation in advance of the trip and superb support while in Normandy.

If you were to recommend our Château to another school, how would you describe your experience?

There is a reason we return year after year to the Chateau du Baffy; it is an excellent and well-organised trip that is well loved by staff and pupils.
