What you’ll experience: Neuschwanstein Castle is a nineteenth-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rocky hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner. The palace was a personal refuge for the reclusive king, and was opened to the public after his death in 1886.
Select says: Located a short drive from Hohenschwangau Castle. Neuschwanstein Castle can only be visited with a guided tour in German and English and last around 30 minutes. Further information can be found via the website where there are also some pre-tour activities to share for children.

What you’ll experience: Hohenschwangau Castle is a 19th century castle which was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. It was built by his father, King Maximilian II of Bavaria.

What you’ll experience: The BMW Museum is an automobile museum in Munich located near the Olympiapark, detailing the history of the automobile manufacturer BMW. The museum was established in 1973, shortly after the Summer Olympics. The museum shows BMW’s technical development throughout the company’s history and exhibits engines and turbines, aircraft, motorcycles, and more.
